Looking for some beautiful places to take your family portraits? Look no further-I got you!
Some of my favorite portrait locations...
Daffodil Meadows- Mill Creek MetroParks is one of the top destinations to view daffodils, as recognized in a 2009 USA Today article. It all began back in 1932 when the Garden Club of Youngstown purchased 8,000 daffodil bulbs to beautify the Newport Section of Mill Creek Park. To keep things blooming for years to come, brand-new bulbs are planted every fall - just remember not to pick any! Mill Creek Park, established in 1891 by Volney Rogers, is the first park district in Ohio.
Cuyahoga Valley National Park- Cuyahoga Valley National Park offers a vast network of hiking trails that span over 125 miles, providing a wide range of options for exploration. The park's trails cater to different levels of difficulty and traverse various habitats, including woodlands, wetlands, and old fields. Some trails may require you to cross streams using stepping stones or log bridges, while the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail is almost flat and accessible to all visitors. The park also features a section of the Buckeye Trail that passes through it. If you need hiking poles, you can borrow them from the Boston Mill Visitor Center on a first-come, first-served basis. Don't hesitate to ask a ranger for assistance. With over 100 waterfalls in the park, Brandywine Falls is a personal favorite of many visitors, including myself and my family who enjoy hiking and exploring new locations
Nelson Ledges Quarry- Nelson Ledges has become a favorite yearly hang-out for me and my family. They have many different chill spots, concerts, and food trucks...Nelson Ledges Quarry Park is a nature-filled 250-acre haven in the heart of Ohio. The park has two fishing lakes which are home to some large bass, catfish, crappie, and bluegill. There are also plenty of waterfowl and smaller freshwater species like turtles, frogs, nonpoisonous snakes, and others! Hike through its forests, meadows, and rock formations, or go swimming in its quarry. You can even scuba dive or go snorkeling - the possibilities are endless! Come join us for unforgettable outdoor experiences at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park.
