When it comes to planning your engagement photos, consider the weather in Ohio. April-October is the best time for lovely weather, while November-May is not so great. September/October is the busiest time for fall colors, but timing varies each year. Winter is great for snow-lovers, while spring is best when flowers bloom. Let me know your preferences as soon as possible, and have backup dates in case of unexpected weather.

Whats your schedule like?

During the process of wedding planning, you will likely have a lot on your plate. Many couples are balancing various responsibilities such as finishing graduate school, managing a demanding job, or even purchasing a home - sometimes all at the same time. As your photographer, I strive to be flexible and accommodating to your individual needs as a couple.

Day & Time Matter...

Engagement sessions are usually scheduled in the evening because the light is most favorable for photography during that time of day. To avoid crowds, we prefer to visit popular locations, either in the city or the mountains, on weekdays. However, the location and time of year can affect our start time. I always check the sunset time for the day of the shoot and work backwards from there. Most sessions last between 1-2 hours and are typically scheduled to end about 30 minutes after sunset. To ensure that we have enough time to chat and answer any questions you may have, I like to meet couples about an hour or so before sunset. This gives us ample time to catch up, go over any wedding plans, and help you relax before we start the photo shoot.
